Campsite
The climb to the top of Ben Nevis begins in Glen Nevis, not far from Fort William. There's a campsite here called Glen Nevis Caravan and Camping Park which is at the foot of Ben Nevis and looks to be the best option for us. There's also a youth hostel there so we could always book a couple of dorm rooms for those that fancy a bit more luxury!
The Walk
Unlike the other 2 montains, the walk up Ben Nevis begins around sea level which means a longer walking time. The walk to the peak should take around 2 hours and 45 minutes with the descent clocking in around 2 hours 15 minutes.
The map that you can view here begins at the camp site (the youth hostel is in the same location). Further north is the visitor centre, just south of Fort William itself.
